General Description: Okimi is a soft and beautiful woman. Her skin is a soft peach color without a blemish in sight. He has slender hands, which do come in handy during surgery and operations. She always keeps herself looking clean and neat; she carries herself gracefully, yet is not stuck up about it. Her face is even and her eyes always look gentle and kind. Her cheeks have a soft rosy color to them, which gets deeper when she blushes.

Personality: To say that Captain Okimi Nagasawa of Division 4 is an angel is understatement. No other Soul Reaper in the entire Gotei 13 is known to be as generous, kind, or forgiving as she is. Some people say is the incarnation of an angel, especially considering her Zanpakuto and its abilities. She will often go out of her way to make sure her subordinate and comrades are safe and/or comfortable. She absolutely despises fighting and would much rather avoid conflict if possible. But that does not mean she will not defend herself if necessary. She is also quite intelligent; she is often found conversing with the Division 12 captain about developing new medicines and treatments. The one thing she has a problem with is multitasking; give her one or two objectives at a time and she will be fine. Give her five or more, and she will start to slip up.

Position: Head of the Medical Relief Squad-As head of the Medical Relief Squad, Okimi is responsible for making sure that any and all injured Soul Reapers receive proper medical treatment. It also means that she has the most extensive knowledge of medicine and healing amongst all other Soul Reapers.

Head of the Soul Society Construction Services-Another duty of Division 4 is to help construct and maintain the various buildings and structures around the Soul Society. As Captain of Division 4, Okimi's job revolves around helping to design new buildings as well as scheduling maintenance for older, important buildings.

Clothes: Of all the Soul Reaper uniforms, Okimi's uniform is one of the few who has made little to no modifications to her uniform or her haori. The only real modification is the internal lining of Okimi's haori; the internal lining is silver.

Accessories: The only accessory Okimi has in a white handkerchief with a pair of angel wings stitched into each corner. She often wears it around her neck; it was a gift from Makoto Kyuji.

Gear: Okimi's main piece of gear is her medical kit. While her Zanpakuto is capable of healing anything, Okimi prefers to only use her Zanpakuto during emergencies. Her medical kit consists of a white belt with various pouches that carry a variety of medicines and equipment.

Story:

Okimi's story is rather tragic, even by Soul Reaper standards. She was only a month old when she and her family died; luckily, some Soul Reapers were in the immediate vicinity when she died and were able to perform the Konso. As a result, Okimi and her family wound up living in the Soul Society. It was here that Okimi grew up and came of age; it is also where she experienced something horrific and gained something incredible.

No one knows how or why, but one day Okimi wondered off from home and wound up in Rukon District #83, one of the poorest and most violent districts in the Soul Society. When she arrived in the district, the whole area was in chaos; violence broke everywhere, people beating on each other. Okimi was sacred and confused; she had no way out of the raging storm of senseless violence.

Then, just when it looks like the violence would only continue to escalate, something inside Okimi began to stir. Eventually, this feeling within Okimi grew so great that she could no longer contain it. Not knowing how else to let it out, Okimi gathered all the strength within her and let it out is a call: "STOP!" And, just like that, everyone stopped and looked at the little girl with white hair and blue eyes filled with tears. Then, she said in a whimpered voice, "Please, no more fighting…" and with those four little words, everyone laid down their weapons and dispersed.

When the Soul Reapers arrived at the scene, they were shocked to say the least.  They watched as a young girl somehow managed to stop a massive, senseless battle with nothing but a few simple words. Okimi was about to find her way back home, when Fukashiro Kyuji appeared before her. He said he saw what she did and that he was very impressed; he promised to take her home and that he wanted to talk with her parents. Okimi did not know why, but she trusted the elder fox and went with him without question.

Using Shunpō, Fukashiro was able to return Okimi home within a matter of seconds. Her parents were surprised and relieved to see their little angel home safe and sound. As Okimi and her parents started to head back inside, Fukashiro quickly asked if they would invite him in; there a few things he needed to discuss a few things with them.

They first started talking about small things, like the weather and basic family activities. Okimi did not know why, but she could feel like Fukashiro was watching her; it was like he was studying her, judging her reactions and responses whenever he spoke to her. After about an hour of casual talk, Fukashiro started to get serious though he did not really show it. He told Okimi he witnessed her power at RD #83 earlier today and that he was most impressed. Okimi felt the color leave her cheeks as she looked to her parents who looked at her with fright in their eyes, but she could not tell if it was because of worry or terror.

Fukashiro reassured her parents it was nothing bad, in fact it was something of a miracle: Okimi had managed to stop a major riot, all by herself, without violence and before anyone was killed. Okimi's parents were shocked as was Okimi for she did not remember anything of what Fukashiro was describing. Fukashiro raised an eyebrow in curiosity, believing that Okimi had used these powers subconsciously. Fukashiro then dropped a bombshell by asking Okimi if she would like to become a Soul Reaper.

If Okimi and her family were shocked before, they were utterly surprised now. Okimi's parents had never considered that their daughter might be Soul Reaper material; they knew that a Soul Reaper's life was difficult and that Okimi was a kind and gentle person. They were about to reject the idea, when Fukashiro told them she would be trained as a medic. He understood Okimi was a gentle spirit and he could tell she was not her fighter. But he honestly believed that Okimi has a gift and that she had an empathetic nature, which would make her perfect for the medical field.

It was so hard to believe that Okimi was being given such a unique chance and she was barely at the age to enter the Soul Reaper academy. Fukashiro explained that he would personally train Okimi until she was old enough to enter the academy and that she would not be alone; he was training others with similar potential like Okimi's. She hesitated at first, not wanting to leave her home or her parents. But Fukashiro assured her that she could still come visit whenever she wanted; he even promised to move them to a new house that would close to where Okimi would be training. He did not expect an answer right away and told them that he would be back first thing tomorrow for their answer.

That night, Okimi had trouble sleeping. Everything Fukashiro Kyuji had told her was still swimming around in her head and she started to ask herself some serious questions. Did she really have potential to be Soul Reaper, especially when she hated fighting? Was her power really a gift that could end fighting without violence? Would she always have this power and could she learn to control it on her own? These questions kept racing in Okimi's mind, until her eyelids became heavy and she submitted to world of dreams.

As Okimi slept, she had an unusual dream where she appeared to be standing on top of a cloud. She then watched as the figure of a woman rose up from underneath the clouds. Okimi thought she was very pretty, especially when the woman looked at her and smiled. The woman then said she was happy to meet little Okimi and then tried to tell the child her name, but when she tried, the words only came out as only bell rings. Okimi asked she could not hear her name to which the woman replied that she simply was not ready to hear it yet. Okimi was about to ask more when she suddenly fell through the cloud and found herself waking up back in her bedroom.

The next morning, Okimi awoke and heard voices coming from the kitchen. It was her parents and Fukashiro Kyuji; he had returned, expecting an answer about his proposition. Her parents were saying that they did not want to lose Okimi, that they feared her training would consume all of her time. Fukashiro explained that she would still live with them, in fact he was even willing to move Okimi's family into a district that was close to Fukashiro's house. Just then, Okimi walked into the room grabbing everyone's attention. Okimi was ready to give her answer and it must have shown for Fukashiro had a pleasant look on his face, like he was ready to except whatever answer she gave him. Okimi took a slow, deep breath and exhaled, tension building all over her body. She said that she would accept Fukashiro's offer, provided he kept his promise about moving Okimi's family closer. Fukashiro was pleased to hear Okimi notice his offer and said that he would make good on it.

Okimi's parents were a little shocked by their daughter's answer, but they could see in her eyes that this was something she wanted to do. A few days later, Okimi and her parents left their old home and moved into Rukon District 10—the same district as Fukashiro Kyuji.

Shortly after the move, Okimi's training under Fukashiro began. Things started off slowly for Okimi; she learned the basic fundamentals of the four main Soul Reaper techniques: Zanjutsu, Hakuda, Shunpō, and Kidô. It took nearly a decade for the basics to settle into Okimi's mindset, but once they did the real training began. Fukashiro would give Okimi unusual tasks that were impossible to fail. These tasks helped to determine Okimi's personal and, as Fukashiro suspected, Okimi had a real knack for medicine and healing.

Decades pass and Okimi soon finds herself standing before the doors of the Soul Reaper Academy, ready to begin the next phase of her life and her training. Her first days of classes were a little awkward; she had a leg up on many of the other students since she had started training earlier than any of them, so her skills were far more polished than the others. She easily had a leg up on the other students, which impressed her teachers while earning the ire of her peers; she received the worst from the female portion of the class, who felt that she was showing off.

Three girls in particular really had it out for Okimi and decided to get pay back by having raped and humiliated. They planned to have her drugged with something that would make her very persuasive. They then manipulated one of the boys into seeking her out, telling him that Okimi was making herself available. They waited and watched as the pawn moved into place. But when he arrived and opened the door, the girls were shocked to see that Okimi was still lucid and coherent. She turned to the male student and asked if he needed anything, to which he said that Okimi was making herself "available." Okimi politely declined that statement and went on her way, much to the shock and disappointment of the jealous female students.

What most people did not know about Okimi was that she actually came from a long line of doctors from the Living World. Her father had incredible skills in the field of pharmaceuticals while her mother was a well-practiced doctor—in the Soul Society, their skills further increased since they discovered spirit energy and its medical uses. Long before Fukashiro ever discovered Okimi, her parents had already started to teach her the ways of medicine and healing. Her lessons included learning about the different drugs, the effects they can have on the body, and how to detect and neutralize them. Okimi was able to detect the drug the students tried to use on her was able to neutralize it before it could effect her systems.

Thankfully, no other such incident ever occurred to Okimi after that; she continued to have a normal time at the Soul Reaper Academy and continued to be ahead in all her classes. But she was not alone in her classes; Fukashiro had trained others like Okimi and, while she did not have every class with them, they had a few classes with them and they stood with her while everyone else seemed to be against.

Eventually, Okimi graduated from the Soul Reaper Academy and went on to begin her new life as a Soul Reaper. She started in the usual position of all new graduates: an unseated member. Because of her unique talents, Okimi was sent straight to Division 4, where apparently she already had a reputation. Word of her skills had reached the Medical Division and made her ideal for the group.

Centuries passed and Okimi quickly ascended the ranks of Division 4; it was not long before Okimi was made lieutenant. Some said she could easily become the next captain after the current one, Juria Mochizuki, retired or was transferred to Division 0—whichever one came first. Little did anyone know that time would be coming sooner than an expected.

Roughly 175 years ago, the outer Rukon Districts were being attacked by some kind of unidentified Hollow. A group of Soul Reapers was dispatched to deal with it; amongst the group was Juria Mochizuki. A few days later, the group returned to the Soul Society, relatively unscathed. Juria asked Okimi to help her with a thorough analysis of all the participants who went to deal with the Hollow. They discovered nothing, yet Okimi could not help but worry; something did not feel right to her.

25 years later, Okimi's fears came true. It was the day that the White Out incident occurred and several high-ranking Soul Reapers disappeared. On the day it occurred, Okimi was busy making her rounds in the Division 4 barracks, checking on various patients, when a bright white light flooded the hallways. Okimi shielded her eyes, unsure of what of was coming; when the light finally faded, everything seemed fine until Okimi heard screaming coming from outside. She raced to the doors and opened them to find the streets littered with Hollows. Not wasting an instant, Okimi drew her Zanpakuto and proceeded to cleanse the Hollows.

Okimi fought for what felt like hours, trying to find her captain amidst all the chaos. When she finally found her, she was shocked by what she discovered; she found her captain fighting amidst a swarm of Hollows…wearing a Hollow mask herself. Okimi did not know what to make of all it; at first, she thought the Hollow mask might be some sort of trophy. But Okimi could feel Juria's spiritual pressure, which was irregular and unstable—all signs of a Hollow. However, despite these facts, Okimi could see that Juria was not acting like a Hollow. Unfortunately, Okimi doubted the Central 46 would see things like that.

When the Hollows were finally dispatched, Okimi and Juria stood face-to-face. She could see the despair and vulnerability in her captain's eyes; she just as confused as Okimi as to what exactly happened. Okimi knew that this transformation her captain's fault, but she would still be executed for her "crimes." So, did the only thing she could think of to help her captain: she helped her to escape from the Soul Society into the World of the Living. Okimi opened a Senkaimon, using her Zanpakuto, knowing full well what she was doing. Juria looked at her lieutenant, shocked; Okimi knew what would happen if she was discovered, but she did not care. And with that, she sent her captain to the World of the Living where she may have needed to hide indefinitely.

The next few days were difficult, to say the least. Okimi had gotten word that Captain Juria was not the only person who had gone missing after the "White Out" incident. The Soul Society was in complete disarray; they needed to find replacements for the missing captains and lieutenants ASAP. For some squads, the choices were easier than others, which included Division 4. Because of her natural healing abilities as well her unique talents and specialized training, Okimi was the obvious choice and became the new captain of Division 4. She humbly accepted the position, promising to do as good a job as her predecessor.

Now, the only thing left to do was find a suitable lieutenant for her. While it was true Division 4 had many members who could easily qualify to fit the position, Okimi felt that some new blood was needed within the squad. She needed to find someone whose skills went beyond the field of medicine and healing, someone who was made something studier than the average Division 4 members. And she was going to find this new blood in the most unlikely squad of the Gotei 13…

Power(s)/Abilities: Master Swordsmanship-When people think of swordsmanship, they often do not think of Captain Nagasawa. When people look, they find it very hard to believe she could even handle a sword, let alone fight someone with it. But the truth is, Okimi's swordplay is on par with more than half the captains in the Gotei 13, despite the fact she mainly specializes in healing and has a very empathetic nature. But it is actually because her nature and skills that she developed a unique that was all her own. Her particular revolves solely around defense where she uses her Zanpakuto mainly to interfere with an opponent's attacks. She literally dances around her opponents using grace and subtly; she never wastes a move and always keeps her focus on the battle at hand. While her style may not be well suited for quickly ending a fight, it can guarantee that there are not casualties…on either side of a confrontation.

Hakuda Master-Again, people do not think of Division 4 Captain Okimi Nagasawa as much of a fighter, especially with her bare hands. But, of course, they would be wrong; Okimi can defend herself using her bare hands. Her particular style is based on a form of jiu-jitsu where she focuses on defense and grappling. Using this style, Okimi can trap or disarm an opponent with minor physical trauma to the target. She also uses a variety of sleeper holds to incapacitate her targets. Like with her style of Zanjutsu, Okimi's style of Hakuda is meant mainly for defense.

Shunpō Master-Being captain of Division 4 means that Okimi must always be ready to answer the call of an injured comrade. That means she has to be on the scene as quickly as possible to render treatment as necessary as well as coordinate the efforts of her subordinates. That is where her skill with Shunpō comes in real handy; she mainly uses it to dash around a battlefield after the conflict has been resolved. However, that does not mean she will not use it during battle if necessary. However, unlike other captains, she purely uses it for defense; she will use to dodge an opponent's attack or escape an ambush. But she never uses it to harm an opponent.

Kidô Master-As captain of Division 4, Okimi's skills with healing essentially tie in with her skills at Kidô. She needs to have fine control of her Spiritual Pressure in order to properly treat injuries and sickness. This fine control can apply to her skills with Kidô, which are quite exceptional. She can simply say the spell's number and name, casting without any incident no matter how high it is. The limitation to Okimi's skills with Kidô is that she only focuses on Bakudô; because of her personal nature, she detests any form of violence. This why she only learned Bakudô since it would only incapacitate her enemies, not kill them.

Another interesting fact about Okimi is that she is currently working with the captain of Division 13 who also happens to be the Commander of the Kidô Corps. She is trying to develop a new form of Kidô called Ido (Way of Healing). It is meant to be a series of spells that can be used to apply immediate medical treatment. From simply sealing a cut to repairing serious bodily damage to curing poisons. It is a lot of work creating a new branch of Kidô, especially for someone like Okimi who is not good with multitasking. But she is determined to bring this new branch of Kidô to life and increase the success rate of Division 4 as high as possible.

Legendary Healer-When it comes to healing, Okimi is second to none. There is no wound she cannot heal nor sickness she cannot cure. She has vast knowledge of the body and the various ailments that can afflict it. Truly, she is a goddess among men when it comes to healing. But Okimi is not just capable of healing the body; she is also capable of healing the mind and soul as well. She can tell when a person's heart is disturbed and often what disturbs it. No matter what ails a person, be it physical or mental, you can bet that Okimi will find a way to cure it.

Master Pharmacist-Okimi's healing skills do not just pertain to her knowledge of the body and how to repair it with spirit energy and tools. She has a great deal of knowledge about medicine and how to mix it. Since her father was a pharmacist who used herbs found the Soul Society to make some very potent medicine. He passed that knowledge onto Okimi, who has grown an entire garden of medicinal herbs within the barracks of Division 4. Okimi knows dozens of herbal remedies that she often supplies to other squads for more dangerous missions.

Enhanced Strength-People might not initially associate Okimi with physical strength (mental or spiritual strength maybe). But she is actually quite strong for a medic; granted she is not as strong as many of the other captains, but she can adequately hold her own against an opponent with some muscle behind him or her. But she does not really use her strength for fighting; rather she uses it to carry heavy patients to the Division 4 barracks especially if they need immediate medical attention.

Enhanced Speed-Okimi's speed is rather impressive; she mainly uses it during battle to keep ahead of her opponent(s). As mentioned earlier, her gentle nature does not allow her to cause harm to another. She will try to avoid conflict…in every sense of the concept.

Enhanced Agility-During battle, Okimi will use quick swift motions to dodge her opponent(s) attacks. Her graceful movements allow her to avoid being hit by her enemies and allow her to command the battle at her own pace.

Enhanced Durability-Soul Reapers do not really think that Okimi could last long in a battle since she tries so hard to avoid conflict in the first place. But, once again, they would be proven wrong. Because of the intense training Okimi underwent with the Captain-Commander, she can take quite a few punches before her performance starts to suffer.

Enhanced Endurance-The years spent under Fukashiro's tutelage have given Okimi a strong core and plenty energy. She is able to fight for extended periods of time before she starts to feel fatigued. Of course, she does not try to prolong a battle; often she will try to end it as quickly as it started.

Vast Spiritual Pressure-Being a captain-class Soul Reaper means Okimi has a great amount of Spiritual Pressure. But there is something unique about Okimi's Spiritual Pressure that is different from other captains, even other Soul Reapers. Normally, when a Soul Reaper unleashes their Spiritual Pressure, their opponent(s) feel a weight on their shoulders—the stronger the Soul Reaper, the greater weight. But that is not the case with Okimi; her Spiritual Pressure does wash over people, but it does bear down on them. It is far gentler than that. To her allies, it feels like a soft embrace; to her foes, it makes them feel wretched and causes them to back off.

Calming Aura-This special ability of Okimi is what earned her the nickname "The Angel of Soul Society." Because of her unique Spiritual Pressure, Okimi is able to calm anyone, no matter how wound up or over stimulated they may be. Even the hardcore, violent members of Division 11 have been known to soften up and relax whenever she is around.

Zanpakuto: Kanjo Tenshi (Gentle Quiet Angel)-Just like the rest of Okimi's skills and personality, her Zanpakuto is specifically designed for healing and nonviolence, even in its sealed state. One noticeable feature about Kanjo Tenshi is that it is sealed as a pair of Nodachi blades, which are one of the three longest types of swords: hers reach out to exactly 90 cm (over three feet long). Most people find it very hard to believe that someone as gentle as Captain Nagasawa is able to handle one of the longest (and possibly most dangerous) sealed forms of Zanpakuto. Yet, despite this, Okimi can handle both swords with ease; what's more, they can use abilities even in sealed state.

(Spirit Ribbon Wrap)-This is one of Okimi's Zanpakuto abilities that are always active, even in its sealed state. Just one swipe from either of Okimi's Zanpakuto and the users (spirit ribbon) wraps around their being. While this does not restrain her opponent(s) physically, it can prevent them from using their simpler abilities and make it difficult for them to use their more complicated abilities. The only drawback with this ability is that it can only be used on a target that is still in its sealed state. If a target has activated their Shikai/Resurrección/etc. then it will be completely ineffective.

(Gentle Healing)-This second ability of Okimi's Zanpakuto is what made her a logical choice for Division 4. Using her Zanpakuto, Okimi will gently tap an injured comrade on the head and they will slowly start to heal. What makes this ability unique is that it does use Okimi's or the target's spiritual pressure. It actually draws it from around the environment, but is does so gently drawing it mainly from the air. But, just like the previous ability, this ability also has its drawbacks. The first drawback is that this ability works very slowly; the more serious an injury, the longer it will take to heal.

Inner World: When Okimi first entered her inner world as a child, it was nothing more than a clear blue sky with two little white clouds. Since then, it has developed into an entire city made out of fluffy white clouds that change color depending on her mood: if she is happy and in good spirits, they stay white; if she is sad, they become gray and bleak; when she becomes angry (which rarely happens), the clouds turn as black as night and lightning erupts from within them. It is in these clouds that Kanjo Tenshi resides.

Zanpakuto Spirit: Kanjo appears as a woman with alabaster skin, hair as golden as the sun, and eyes bluer than the sky on a clear day. She wears a simple white dress that hangs down just above her knees. On her back is a pair of silvery-white wings that seem to glisten with morning dew. When she speaks, her voice is as soft and gentle as falling snow; even when Okimi is angry, Kanjo Tenshi remains perfectly calm. Her personality appears gentle and calm on the surface, but it belies a deeper-rooted strength that allows her to stand up to anyone, no matter how threatening they may seem. Because of Kanjo Tenshi's unique abilities, anyone who enters Okimi's inner world cannot use any of their special powers, making Okimi's inner world a neutral ground. If anyone persists in being rude or disrespectful, Kanjo Tenshi will cause the person(s) to fall through whatever cloud they are standing, into the bright blue sky below, and back out into the physical world.

Zanpakuto Spirit Humanoid Form: It is the same as her original form.

Release Phrase: "Shine your light upon the world! Let it soothe and heal the corrupted flesh of battle so that everyone may heal! Let it ease and erase the chaos that warps minds so that there may be understanding!"

Shikai: To release her Shikai, Okimi must first cross both of her blades in front of her body as she utters her release phrase. As the words pass over her lips, an ethereal glow will envelop her. When she finishes the release phrase, two halos of light will appear at the tips of her swords. They will then travel the length of the blades all the way down to Okimi's wrists, where they will come to rest. As the halos travel down, the swords will transform; the blades will become wider and shine pure white as if they are made out of pure light. The tsuba and hilts will also transform: the tsuba on each blade with become a pair of tiny angelic wings with an extended guard that wraps around the outside of the hand, similar to the hand guard of a rapier. As for the hilts, they become like silver and are soft to the touch.

Shikai Abilities: Chiyu (Healing)-Of all Kanjo Tenshi's abilities, this ability is the most well known of them. To activate this ability, all Okimi has to do is point her sword at an injured target and say the word, "Chiyu." A translucent beam of light will shoot from the tip of her blade and strike the target; it will then leave a peculiar mark on the area where the beam hits (it resembles a pair of angel wings surrounding a halo with a cross in the center). The instant the target is marked, they will feel a wave of relief run through his or her body; bands of light will then flow out from the mark along the target's body until they reach a wound. The bands of light will then wrap around the wound and began to heal it. When the healing is complete, the bands will fade and there will be no sign of injury—especially scars.

Reiraku Furoshiki (Spirit Ribbon Wrapping Cloth)-This is Kanjo Tenshi's second most well known technique. Okimi is able to use Kanjo Tenshi's to attack an opponent's spirit ribbon. When using this ability, Okimi is able to see her opponent's Spirit Ribbon (Reiraku) and is able to strike it with her Zanpakuto. But this ability does cut the Spirit Ribbon, instead when the blade makes contact with the Spirit Ribbon, it will cause the ribbon to convulse and wrap around the target's body. This does not restrain the target; instead, it seals away their abilities, whatever they may be. With a single strike, Okimi can reseal a Soul Reaper's Shikai or an Arrancar's Resurrección. Anything above that, however, and this ability will not work.

Utsuro Kirite (Blank Cutter)-The last of Kanjo Tenshi's abilities and the most effective in combat; with a single swing, Kanjo Tenshi can stop an opponent's attack and cancel it out completely. Okimi can use her Zanpakuto to stop a Cero blast, a Kidô spell, or even another Zanpakuto's attack.

Bankai: Kanjo Tenshi, Gamikanben (Gentle Quiet Angel, Graceful Forgiveness)</i>-Okimi's Bankai can really change the outcome of a battle; it is the most powerful healing type Zanpakuto. But it also holds a dark secret; a secret only the captains of the Soul Society are aware of…Okimi's Bankai is the only form of her Zanpakuto that has an offensive ability.

To activate her Bankai, Okimi lowers both of her arms to her side and utters the word Bankai. The instant she does, she releases her blades from her hands, but they do not fall to the ground. They levitate for a brief moment they begin to intricately dance her body; eventually, they come to rest over Okimi's head crossed over each other. A circle of light will then draw itself around Okimi's feet; once it is complete, Okimi's body will be enveloped in a transparent pillar of light that seems to stretch all the way to the Heavens. Clouds begin to move in, forming around the pillar of light. Then, her swords slowly disintegrate into microscopic fragments that flow through the air and begin to encircle Okimi's body.

The fragments will then reform behind Okimi's body and take the shape of white angel wings. Once the wings have fully formed, the pillar of light will begin to shrink in on Okimi. As it fazes over her hands, it will leave three white halos around her arms and one giant halo hanging behind her back. Her eyes no longer have any pupils; instead, they are filled with an ethereal glow. This glow also surrounds her entire body. When people first see Okimi's Bankai, they say she is like an angel of grace, come down from the Heavens to save all the innocent souls.

Bankai Abilities: Ijutsu (Healing Art)-This is the primary ability of Okimi's Bankai. The way it works Okimi makes several hand signs—each spell has a different set of hand signs—before saying the art's name. When the name is spoken, a ring of light will appear underneath her target before a clear pillar erupts around them (similar to the activation of Okimi's Bankai). The kanji for the spell will then appear beneath the target and it will instantly take effect.

Ijutsu: Tsukuroi (Healing Art: Mending)-The first spell in Okimi's set of healing spells. When it is activated, any wounds the target(s) has suffered will be instantly healed.

Ijutsu: Chiyu (Healing Art: Cure)-The second in Okimi's set; this spell is designed to cure a target(s) of any poison or illness they may be suffering from. It goes a little bit further than the first spell because it aids a person's body in producing antibodies and strengthening their immune system thus preventing future illnesses.

Ijutsu: Harasu (Healing Art: Refresh)-The third spell in Okimi's set; this spell reinvigorates a person whose stamina has dropped to zero. Among all of her healing arts, this one is used the least since many Soul Reapers are trained and conditioned to have a great deal of stamina. Still, Okimi believes it is still an art worth remembering; just because it is rarely used does not mean it should be forgotten.

Ijutsu: Ikasu (Healing Art: Revive)-The fourth spell in Okimi's roster and one of her more valuable techniques. To be blunt, it allows her to save an ally who is on the brink of death. The only drawback with this technique is that it requires a great deal of energy and using it repeatedly can prove hazardous to Okimi's well being.

Ijutsu: Kishi Hin'i (Saving Grace)-The final spell in Okimi's roster and, by far, the most valuable. It can literally save anyone from death, even if they have suffered a fatal injury. Even if they lose portions of their body, even their organs are ripped out, they can be saved; the technique works similar to the Quincy's ability to breakdown and absorb inanimate objects rich in spirit energy. But despite it's incredible healing power, this technique does come with some serious drawbacks. The first and most major drawback being the target is unable to use any type of abilities for over twenty four hours—Soul Reapers would become nothing more than ordinary citizens, unable to do even the simplest ability or unleash their Zanpakuto.

Reiraku Amanohagoromo (Spirit Ribbon Angel's Feathered Robe)-This is basically an evolved version of the Reiraku Furoshiki technique. The only difference with this ability is that can cancel out something as powerful as Bankai or Segunda Etapa and the effects can last much longer.

Tenrai Miyaru (Heavenly Gaze)-This ability is actually tied to the clouds that gather during Okimi's Bankai. It is activated automatically as soon as Bankai is fully released. The clouds above Okimi serve as extra eyes that allow her to see over an entire battlefield. This way, Okimi can spot seriously injured allies and move in quickly to give medical treatment.

Cho Mei Nakami (Clear Bright Blade)-Okimi can use the halos around her arms to create swords of pure light. When she does this, the halos will slide down her arm and into her hand, where the halos will quickly transform into a sphere of light. All Okimi has to do is squeeze and the ball will transform into a simple long, straight blade. However, these blades do not cut people; they cannot flesh and bone, but they can cut other things, like steel, wood, and paper along with things that normally cannot be cut like fire, a Cero blast, or a Kidô spell.

Bo Toku (Sacrilege)-This is the only offensive ability of Okimi's ability and it is truly very frightening, even amongst the captains. The technique starts out like one of her Ijutsu techniques, but the pillar is more opaque than the previous techniques. Once the target(s) is encased in the pillar, they will begin to feel sharp pricks on their skin. These pricks soon evolve into violent slashes that leave terrible cuts on the target(s). Then, the target(s) wounds are quickly cauterized; this process of slashing and cauterizing repeats over and over until there is nothing left of the target but a withered husk of what used to be. If Okimi does use this technique, her Bankai is instantly canceled out along with any of its beneficial abilities. In her entire, Okimi has only ever used this ability once…and that was back when she first revealed her Bankai.
Here is the captain of Division 4 in my original Gotei 13. Okimi Nagasawa: I wanted to design a captain who would the literal personification of an angel. I wanted this figure to be a genuine figure of caring and understanding; in enters Okimi. I figured making her the captain of Division 4, a division well known for it's healing abilities, would be the best way to further show her kind and gentle spirit.
