He also acts as a sort of mediator, making sure to settle any disputes so that everybody walks away happy…or, at least, mildly content. But that does not mean he knows when to be strict; if someone shirks his or her duties, you can bet Fukashiro will be there to apply the appropriate punishment. Of course, being a fox, he does have his mischievous side; he has been known to appear unexpectedly at someone's side with a pot of fresh hot tea and an open ear. Story: Fukashiro's story is an interesting and rather tragic tale. When he was still alive, Fukashiro was nothing but a small fox cub that had lost his entire family and taken by a kind, old hermit. Fukashiro formed a strong bond with the hermit and eventually came to view him as a father figure. So, when the hermit's home came under attack by bandits, Fukashiro gave everything protect the hermit. Sadly he failed and died shortly thereafter; but the pain he felt at the loss of the hermit caused him to release an enormous amount of spirit energy, which caused him to become more human-like upon his death. So, it was no surprise when Royal Guard discovered Fukashiro quickly and performed the Konso, sending him into the next to rest in peace.
After his death, Fukashiro's destiny started at a break neck pace. Not two months after his death and entry into the Soul Society, the same Royal Guardsmen who saved him approached Fukashiro. They asked him to join their ranks and become Soul Reaper; Fukashiro was a tad hesitant at first, but finally to join them. His stay with the rest of the human souls was not bad, but it was not good either; because he was an animal, most people did not really view him as an equal. And so, Fukashiro took the first step into a journey that would forever change his life.
Decades later, Fukashiro had become one of the highest-ranking members in the Royal Guard. To say Fukashiro was impressive was an understatement; most of the veterans believed Fukashiro had cheated somehow when he became third seat when most were still trying to even be nominated for a seated position. Needless to say, Fukashiro's success caught some attention, particularly the Spirit King. One day, Fukashiro was brought before the king and told of a plight that his majesty was facing. He told Fukashiro how he needed a military force in the Soul Society; the Royal Guard was so busy watching over him, that the average souls had no real protection of their own. So, the Spirit King gave Fukashiro the power and resources to form an extension of the Royal Guard in the Soul Society.
Fukashiro had a serious rocky start when the project began; people did not want some military force looming over them. Fukashiro tried to ease their worries by telling that he would be picking members of the organization from the local populace, but it did little to help. It was during this time that Fukashiro met a young flower woman named Makoto. She was blind, but she could see more than most people could; she could see passed Fukashiro's exterior appearance. Before long, they fell in love and were married. Most people did not think it last (but they are still together, two thousand years later).
Over a millennium passed after Fukashiro had started the project in the Soul Society and Fukashiro was at wits end. Progress had reached a stand still over the passed two centuries; Fukashiro had found some talented individuals to fill the roles of guardians, but there was no real structure or order to them. Fukashiro may have had a keen mind, but he had in little in the ways of experience. Then, one day, Fukashiro learned of an individual who had manifested a Zanpakuto all by himself. As quick as he could, Fukashiro made his way out to the country where he met the man that would wind up being the answer to Fukashiro's dilemma: Arthur Kane.
Kane was a former templar who only recently arrived in the Soul Society. Apparently, when he was alive, he had some questions of faith. It wound up getting him killed, but he never regretted his decision; his experience in the Crusades became a blessing for Fukashiro's project. Kane's helped Fukashiro get the project back on track and improve it in leaps and bounds. Before long, Fukashiro created a stable command structure, an advanced training program, a strict selection process, and even a decent retirement program. In less than one hundred and fifty years, Fukashiro had finally completed the project and formed the Gotei 13…

Physical Strength: 60

Power(s)/Abilities: Master Swordsman-Due to his training and years of experience, Captain Kyuji has become a master swordsman in every right. His skills are second to none and are capable of felling any foe that dares challenge the Captain-Commander. An interesting fact about Fukashiro is that he is ambidextrous—meaning he can wield a sword in either hand. He actually had to develop skills both arms because his dominant arm was once broken, which forced to Kyuji to use his less dominant arm.

Risshun (First Day of Spring)-This is a special Zanpakuto battle style Fukashiro developed to use with his Zanpakuto in its sealed state. He spreads his legs apart, holds his one arm in front of his body, and holds Ben'i parallel with his other arm. This stance is designed with providing defense followed by offense. Fukashiro uses his empty hand sweep out of the way of enemies and gives him a chance to provide quick and precise blows.

Haretasora (Clear Sky)-A very effective move of Fukashiro's that gets its name from how it clears the battle field of enemies. Fukashiro uses Shunpō in combination with Ben'i to literally knock all opponents off the battlefield, making it as clear as a sunny day.

Shunpō Master-Fukashiro honed his skills with Shunpō over his many years of service. It is said that he can cross from one end of the Soul Society to the other in just one step, though this has yet to be officially verified.

Master Tactician and Strategist-Being a fox, Fukashiro has a sort of natural intelligence; he is able to read situations and people to the smallest detail. He also understands his limitations, like the problems he had when he trying to establish the Gotei 13. He is not so proud that he will not seek the aid of others to help overcome his personal limitations. That being said, he also makes sure to remember what he has been taught.

Immense Spiritual Pressure-Fukashiro's spiritual pressure was high to begin with and it has continued to grow with time. It is said that his power is so immense, that when he releases it, it can be felt beyond the walls of the Gotei 13 headquarters.

Immense Strength-Years of battle have toned Fukashiro's muscles, giving him incredible strength. He can swing his Zanpakuto with enough force to shatter anything, including bones.

Immense Endurance-Fukashiro has trained his body and mind to be able to fight for as long as need be. It is often said that Fukashiro could fight for over thirty days before he even started to show a hint of fatigue.

Immense Durability-Fukashiro's body has become as tough as iron; he can take punishment better than most Soul Reapers.

Hakuda Master-Fukashiro understood early in his career that sometimes a warrior could sometimes find himself without his blade, so he must realize on his bare hands to win a fight. His style is a variation of Taichi using open palms; some might say this is a light fighting style, but those are only the people who have not seen him in actions.

Kansaku (First Bloom)-With this move, Fukashiro delivers a double palm blow to his opponent. The force of the blow is said to be so great, it can shatter an enemies into pieces.

Seisui (Pure Water)-A defensive stance where Fukashiro's uses graceful sweeps to "dance" around his opponent's attacks. To the trained, a person can see that Fukashiro Kyuji uses very movement with this stance, allowing him to conserve his energy while his opponents' waste theirs.

Yayakoshii Tsurukusa (Tangled Vine)-Fukashiro learned later in his career that sometimes it is better to capture a target, not kill it. Thus, Fukashiro developed a special that could detain a target for capture. He gets behind the target, his arms around the target's shoulders and interlocks his fingers behind the target's head. He then wraps his legs around the target's legs, effectively immobilizing him. Fukashiro rarely uses this move, as it requires the target to be roughly the same size as the Captain-Commander, plus it is only used to quickly disable a target of he/she tries to escape.

Meikyo Shisui (Clear and Serene)-This is a special kata of Fukashiro's; he uses Seisui to defend himself while delivering swift and powerful palm thrusts and finger jabs. He mostly uses this style when enemies surround him.

Kido Master-Fukashiro spent years studying the arts of Kido. It is said that he knows every single spell of both Hado and Bakudô and that he can cast without reciting an incantation.

Zanpakuto: Ben'i (Call of Nature)-Captain Kyuji's Zanpakuto is considered to be the most powerful, the most beautiful, and the most dangerous. In its sealed state, Ben'i actually looks like a wooden sword used in practice. At first glance, it does not look very intimidating. But one swing from Ben'i and the victim finds himself/herself on the receiving end of a vicious blow that can shatter bones to dust…literally. So, while its sealed state may not be very impressive, it is still quite powerful and very dangerous.

Inner World: Fukashiro's inner world is truly beautiful and rather unique; it resembles a lush, green, serene forest full of every kind of plant imaginable, including some that are never found in the same place. But what really makes this forest incredible is that all the plants are alive! They can speak and even move on their own; if someone walks through the forest, the grass moves aside so as not to get trampled. The moss grows thicker to make a bed for someone to rest, the flowers love to have conversations with guests, and the vines like to tickle people who pass by. This is how a guest is treated; an intruder receives a whole different reception; the grass becomes sharp as needles that pierce into an intruder's feet, the flowers spew toxic pollen that can choke someone to death, the vines either constrict or tear intruders, and the trees somehow manage to find ways to crush trespassers without falling over. Thankfully, this does not happen often, and the forest is a wonderful place for anyone to visit…so long as they do not cause trouble.

Zanpakuto Spirit: The spirit of Ben'i is a spirit of nature; its entire body is made up of rocks, soil, and various plants with a little bit of water flowing between the cracks of his body. One notable feature of Ben'i is the massive tree on his back that seems to hold him together with its roots. Ben'i is one of the more polite and social Zanpakuto; in fact, he has been known to sneak out of Fukashiro's inner world from time to time and explore the Soul Society or the immediate area Fukashiro is visiting.

Zanpakuto Spirit Humanoid Form: Ben'i has a rather interesting human form; it is nothing like his original form at all. In fact, it is far less impressive: at first glance, he seems to resemble a rather short man, wearing tattered green clothes with a face covered in dirt and ragged-looking dark green hair. He comes across as a beggar when people first see him—the only feature that identifies him, as the Zanpakuto of Fukashiro is the small bonsai tree growing out of the top of his head. Thankfully, he still retains his pleasant personality in this form.

Release Phrase: "It calls to those who hear. It awakens the primal force within and brings forth all ferocity."

Shikai: When Fukashiro first releases his Zanpakuto, it emits an incredible amount of spirit energy that literally affects the surrounding area. Depending on how much spirit energy Fukashiro releases, he can cause plants to grow for several hundred miles. As for the weapon itself, Ben'i takes on a whole new shape. It shifts into a more typical sword shape; the blade becomes thinner and thus more concentrated, the grip also becomes more like a traditional grip. It even grows a hand guard—the shape resembles that of an open flower. In order to release his Shikai, Fukashiro holds the sword to either one of his sides then slowly sweeps across in front of his body, saying the release phrase; as he utters the words, Ben'i emits gentle streams of green spirit energy.

Shikai Abilities: Special Ability-One of Ben'i's special abilities is the power to make plants grow, no matter the area or conditions. It can even make them grow on an enemy's skin. It also grants Fukashiro the ability to manipulate the plants, granting them similar abilities as the plants in his inner world. For example, any flowers produced by Ben'i could possess the ability to spit acid or toxic pollen at an opponent. Another interesting fact about these plants is that they can continue to exist, even after Ben'i returns to its sealed state. Fukashiro can use these plants later if he needs them; they even serve as a sort of radar, alerting Fukashiro to any enemies that enter the plants' area.

Hatsu Shubyo (First Seedlings)-This ability is activated almost immediately upon its release. A shower of small seeds covers the immediate as well as anyone in the vicinity. No one ever sees these seeds because they are so small they are invisible to the naked eye. If they happen to stick to an enemy, they have no idea the seeds are there until they are activated and take root in their skin. These seeds can grow into plants in the blink of an eye.

Bankai: Genseihogo (Wilderness Preservation)-Fukashiro rarely uses his Bankai, but when he does, it can bring any battle to a swift end. Fukashiro interlocks his hands while holding Ben'i upside-down, blade facing out. He then focuses his energy before calling out "BANKAI" and unleashing Genseihogo. Upon its release, Genseihogo creates an immense forest that covers an area over 100 miles in diameter within milliseconds. Genseihogo also gives Fukashiro a second sword to wield; only this one is made up of vines and other plants that grow out from Fukashiro's arm.

Bankai Abilities: Instant Plant Growth-Much like its Shikai, Ben'i's Bankai causes plants to grow. Only, instead of a slow even growth, an entire forest sprouts instantly within a 50-mile radius. The trees it produces can grow to be over several kilometers tall and it also produces a wide range of vegetation. People have often said that Captain Kyuji's Bankai allows him to bring his Inner World out into the physical plain. The first time he ever used his Bankai, Fukashiro created the entire forest surrounding the Soul Society and it is still growing today.

Plant Manipulation-Fukashiro is able to manipulate some of the plants that he creates with his Bankai, but not all of them. He can tell the trees to shoot out branches like spears or tell the flowers to spew forth acid. This ability, however, requires that Fukashiro focus on the plant and, while his mind is sharp, he cannot control every single plant. Trying to do would stretch his will very thin and make it difficult for him to concentrate on an immediate enemy.

Heightened Sense-Fukashiro can also sense an ally or enemy's location using the plants. He always knows where they are, even if they try to hide. It can even allow him to transmit messages to other members of the Gotei 13 within the immediate area.
This is the first profile of my original Gotei 13.

When I was developing Fukashiro Kyuji, I wanted to make him flexible and reasonable. Most leaders tend to be too rigid in performing their duties. Fukashiro is essentially the answer to that problem.

Please let me know what you guys think about Fukashiro. I'll start working on the profile for his lieutenant.

Also, on a quick side note, I will be providing information on some the characters positions. The only reason I did not provide any info on Fukashiro's position is because it is self-explanatory.

Plus, keep an eye out in future profiles; I did not really tell all of Fukashiro's story, because it would take way too long. Other parts of his story will be revealed in other profiles.

Depending on how well this series does, I may also make special backstories for each of the characters. I may even add some extra intel if I feel it is necessary.

This is a really cool Captain-Commander! I like the idea of him being a fox spirit that was brought up by the Soul King to be something special. I'd be really excited to see a commission of him; I'm wondering if he looks like an old fox or a young one. I'd like to see more of his abilities too :P

Only thing is, you should really change his shikai's name, because Ben'i means call of nature but in the terms of using the bathroom. If that's intended because he's supposed to be a mischievous fox then ignore this then!
