Emily Shepard

Age: 32

Height: 177.8 cm (5' 10")

Weight: 50.1 kg (110.3 lbs.)

Eye Color: Green

Hair Color/Style: Black/Short hangs down around her head; several bangs frame her face

Distinguishing Features: Emily Shepard has a thin long scar on the left side of her face; she got this from the Thresher Maw attack that wiped out her squad. She also has a brand on her back from she was taken from her world by Batarian slavers.

General Description: Emily has some decently developed muscles, despite the fact that she focuses on technical expertise. Her developed muscles are most likely the result of her working on a farm for most of her young life; training in the Alliance military helped her to maintain her physique. As with her brother, Max, Emily has a dark complexion due in part to her African heritage.

Personality: Emily has a mild cynical nature, but she is generally good spirited. She used to be very overprotective of Max when she was younger. But as they grew older, Emily allowed Max to grow and let him make his own decisions. She will sometimes come to his defense if the need arises, especially in combat. Speaking of combat, it should be noted that often takes enjoyment when she sees one of her opponents in flames; it hard to say if this is the result of her capture or some other deep-rooted trauma that has recently been awakened. Whatever the case, no one should attempt to make an impromptu romantic passage on Emily, unless she reciprocates the feeling.

Family: Nicholas Shepard (father, deceased), Anastasia Shepard (mother, deceased), Max Shepard (younger brother), Hannah Shepard (aunt), Malcolm Shepard (uncle), John Shepard (cousin), Jane Shepard (sister), Catherine Shepard (aunt, missing), Bartholomew Shepard (uncle, missing), William Shepard (cousin), Alexandra Shepard (cousin), Kimi Shepard (aunt, deceased), Albert Shepard (uncle, deceased), Ryan Shepard (cousin), Sarah Shepard (cousin), Isaac Shepard (cousin), Danielle Shepard (cousin), Thomas Shepard (cousin), Claire Shepard (cousin)

Least Favorite Food(s)/Drink(s): Any beverage that is too sweet (i.e. soda, root beer), onions

Preferences

Likes-Muscular men, taking down bad guys, and setting people on fire

Dislikes-Seeing people being tortured,

Personal History Summary

Emily grew with her younger brother, Max, on her parents' farm on the colony world of Mindoir. Things were peaceful for a while, until Batarian raiders invaded the colony and started taking people as slaves; the Batarian invaders slaughtered Emily and Max's family and friends. The Batarians loaded them onto their ship to be taken back to Khar'shan, the Batarian home world.

All seemed bleak, until the Batarian ship was intercepted by an Alliance dreadnaught. The Batarians were eliminated and their slaves were rescued; it was this event that inspired Emily and Max to enlist in the Alliance military when they came of age.

During their basic training, there was a small mishap with Emily and Max's personnel files. They were called down to the office of the commanding officer; it was here that they met the members of their extended family. Things were tense for a while between the Shepards, but eventually things settled down between them and they started to bond like a real family.

Shortly after graduating from basic training, Emily was placed on a small squad; they started out doing small missions, like attacking small criminal gangs or disrupting renegade operations. It was not until they received one certain mission that everything changed.

Emily and Max's teams had both been assigned to investigate the garden world of Akuze. A colony had mysteriously gone offline without any reason; when the teams arrived, the colony was relatively intact. Without any clear sign as to what caused the colonists disappearance, the teams began an investigation. The teams' set up camp while Emily and Max started to sift through the colony's data cashes trying to find some clue to the disappearances. After hours of data crunching, they found nothing and so turned in for the night.

The next morning, things seemed pretty quiet…until the ground started to shake. The marines thought it was just some minor tremors, but Emily and Max were not so sure. Suddenly, without warning, a massive creature that resembled a worm erupted from underneath the ground; the marines were completely caught off guard as the giant worm began tear through some soldiers while spitting acids on others. One marine fired off a rocket launcher at the giant worm; when the rocket connected, it seemed to drive the giant worm away. Everything seemed peaceful again, until the giant worm erupted back up and devoured several marines in the process.

Things were really going FUBAR and fast! Emily and Max only short time before the giant worm turned its attention onto the two siblings. Thinking quickly, Max began to rewire the planetary defenses while Emily covered him; they began to work quickly on the GARDIAN defense lasers to target the giant worm. They rewired the guns…just as the last of their teammates fell to the massive monster. With the lasers power, the giant worm was defeated and driven back underground.

A few days later, Max and Emily were recovered by the Alliance and brought to Arcturus station to recover and give their reports. Here, they learned the creature they fought was called a Thresher Maw; the Alliance had reports about these creatures given to them by the Citadel Council, but this was the first time an Alliance team had actually faced a Thresher Maw.

While Emily and Max recovered, Captain David Anderson approached them. He told them that their will to survive was impressive and that they had managed to stave off a Thresher Maw was no small feat. He went on to say that the two of them had real potential and that he had nominated for the N7 program. They were a little hesitant to join the program, especially after everything they had been through. But this was a rare opportunity that so few got and so they decided to accept the offer.

A few days later, Emily and Max recovered enough to travel and were transported to Rio de Janeiro to undergo N7 training. It was here that they reunited with their siblings as they underwent various exercises and tests. Eventually, Emily and Max graduated from the program with the rank of N7, along with their siblings.

With their skills raised to a whole new level, Emily and Max went on to have a successful military career. Little did either of them know, their skills would soon be put to the test in a mission where the entire galaxy would be at stake…

Base Class: Engineer-During Basic Training, Emily displayed a real talent with offensive tech. She could hack any system, override any lock, and disable any weapon; no defense could stand up Emily's technological onslaughts.

Specialization Class: Demolisher-After entering the N7 program, Emily's offensive capabilities were raised to new levels. Her improved skills allowed her to weaken an enemy's defenses while bolstering her allies.

Here, we have the profile of Emily Shepard. I\'m trying to keep each of the Shepards unique and individualized, so I thought I\'d create one that has a suppressed psychotic side.

So far, I have created two Shepards for the Soldier and Engineer classes. Only four more classes and eight more Shepards to go.
